| Royal Pony Farm has the distinction of being one of the oldest continuously operating Classic American Shetland Pony breeding farms in the United States. It was established by the Richardson Family in 1944. The home farm is located just outside of Story City, Iowa with part of the herd located a few miles away at daughter Donna Norcross' farm near Roland, Iowa. |

| The Midwest Classic Shetland Breeders' Association is the only American Shetland Pony Club member club that is dedicated exclusively to promoting and enjoying the Classic American Shetland Pony and its sub division the Foundation American Shetland Pony. The MCSBA hosts the Spotlight Show each Memorial Day weekend in Waterloo, Iowa at the National Dairy Cattle Congress Grounds for all divisions of ASPC ponies as well as A and B Miniature Horses and National Show Ponies.
