Welcome to Cheg-Kim Ponies! At Cheg-Kim Ponies we raise quality American
Shetland Pony Club registered Classic Shetland Ponies as well as American
Miniature Horse Registry registered Miniature Horses, Sicilian Donkeys, Watusi
Cattle, Zebu Cattle, and a variety of Pigeons, Chickens, Geese and Rabbits.
Cheg-Kim Ponies are known for their ability to excel in the show ring as well as
making great family ponies suitable for driving, riding, and FUN! Don loves a
good hitch and if you are in the market for a matched pair of ponies to make a
team (and the harness you'll need for them) he will be happy to help you out!
Bloodlines found in the Cheg-Kim Classic Shetland herd include: VB, B & L,
Royal, Masters, Arenosa, and many others. Our herd comes in a rainbow of
colors and includes those sought after but hard to find Dun dilutes and Blue Roans.
We are conveniently located off I-70 in the heart of "Post Rock" country between
Salina and Hays Kansas. Visitors are welcome but please call ahead so we can
schedule time to give you the complete tour.

| What's in a name? We are occasionally asked what the "Kim" stands for in Cheg-Kim Ponies. The "Kim" stands for Kimple. Don Chegwidden and A.J. Kimple started Cheg-Kim Ponies in 1987. A.J. passed away in 1995 but Don, Julie and A.J.'s wife Anna Mae Kimble continue the tradition of breeding quality Classic Shetland Ponies with the Cheg-Kim prefix. |
