Located in Ottumwa, Iowa, Uncle Slim's Pony Farm is owned and operated by Edward & Andrea McDowell and
their family (including several pony crazy grandchildren).  Many of their ponies are trained to drive and/or
ride and poines with the "Slim's" prefix have won several Congress Single Draft Harness Stakes Championships.
The Area VI Club is a recognized club of the ASPC/AMHR.  It includes the following states and provinces:

Black Birch Ranch & Tack is located in snowy Embarass, Minnesota.  Embarass has the distinction of being the

Stone Pony Farm is located near beautiful Brenham, Texas.  The main focus of the Stone Pony Farm breeding
program is double registered ASPC/AMHR ponies but they also breed a few ASPC only and AMHR only animals.
 Home of Country Pleasure Driving Hall of Fame stallion AClassic Touch Riverdance.  Stone Pony Farm is also
well known for their high percentage Fire Mountain and Decker bloodline UKC/UKCI Rat Terriers.
Royal Pony Farm has the distinction of being one of the oldest continuously operating Classic American
Shetland Pony breeding farms in the United States.  It was established by the Richardson Family in 1944.  The
home farm is located just outside of Story City, Iowa with part of the herd located a few miles away at
daughter Donna Norcross' farm near Roland, Iowa.
As the family has grown Royal Pony Farm has expanded to include a Southern Branch called Royal Texas
Ponies.  Royal Texas Ponies is located in Amarillo, Texas and is home to a small group of Royal broodmares
and the current home of Royal herdsires Royal Alice's Boy and Royal Kryptonite.
Hopwood's Pony Ranch is located near the geographical center of Nebraska and specializes in Classic and
Foundation Performance ponies that are ASPC and PtHA registered.  They also have a small herd or AMHA and
AMHR Miniature Horses and ADMS Donkeys of miniature and standard sizes as well as Irish Setters.
Breeders of primarily Classic & Foundation American Shetland Ponies, Platte Ridge Farm is home of the
Modern Halter Hall of Fame Sabino Stallion Willowlawn's Mr. Unique. Ponies with the Plattes prefix are
contributing to breeding programs and lighting up show strings across the United States and Europe.  Platte
Ridge Farm is located in Central Minnesota on the banks of the Platte River.
Located in Orr, Minnesota, Willow River Ranch stands the Classic Shetland stallion Hopwood's High Plains
Drifter.  They also breed AKC Shetland Sheepdogs and AKC & ACA Pomeranians.
The Midwest Classic Shetland Breeders' Association is the only American Shetland Pony Club member club
that is dedicated exclusively to promoting and enjoying the Classic American Shetland Pony and its sub
division the Foundation American Shetland Pony.  The MCSBA hosts the Spotlight Show each Memorial Day
weekend in Waterloo, Iowa at the National Dairy Cattle Congress Grounds for all divisions of ASPC ponies as
well as A and B Miniature Horses and National Show Ponies.
